Position: High School Teacher for English and Social
Location: Drayton Valley

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools is hiring a full-time High School Teacher for English and Social subjects at Holy Trinity Academy in Drayton Valley, Alberta. This position spans from August 26 to November 10, 2026.

Successful candidates will cover English-1, English-2, Social-1, and Social-2 courses, engaging students from grades 9 to 12. The ability to assist in both co-curricular and extra-curricular activities is vital. Preference will be given to those with a Catholic Education certificate, underscoring a commitment to Christ-centered education and community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English and Social studies to secondary students

• Support co-curricular and extra-curricular engagement

• Nurture a respectful learning environment

• Attend faculty meetings and school events

• Collaborate with other staff on curriculum development

Requirements:

• Certificate in Catholic Education from St. Joseph's College ideal

• Strong enthusiasm for student development

• Current Criminal Record Check necessary

• Alberta Children’s Services Intervention Record Check needed

• Submit two reference letters, pastoral reference advantageous
