The Educational Assistant 1 (EA1) position is a Full-Time, Probationary role dedicated to supporting diverse learners from Preschool to Grade 12. Your expertise in helping students achieve Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and Individual Program Plans (IPPs) will be vital. Ideal candidates should have experience with assistive technology and managing behavior effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies

• Support students in meeting ILP and IPP goals

• Use assistive technology to enhance learning

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams

• Manage student behavior with respect and effectiveness

Requirements:

• Preferred:
Formal education in a related field

• Proven experience in educational assistance

• Skills in verbal intervention training beneficial

• Experience working with behavioral needs, especially autism

• French communication skills preferred
