Position: Grade 7 & 8 Science Educator Needed
Location: Stony Plain

Join Parkland School Division as a Grade 7 and 8 Science Educator at Westview School in Stony Plain, Alberta. This role focuses on student engagement and collaborative teaching methods to enhance learning.

As a Probationary/Continuing Full-Time Teacher, you will educate a diverse student body while fostering a safe and welcoming environment. You will work closely with students, adapting your instructional techniques to meet various learning needs while promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Your role will involve collaborating with fellow educators and support teams for optimal student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and differentiate science curriculum for grades 7 and 8

• Conduct assessments and provide timely educational feedback

• Supervise students in educational and recreational settings

• Collaborate with the Student Support Team on IEPs

• Maintain effective home-school communication with parents

Requirements:

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate and Bachelor of Education Degree

• Experience in teaching science to Middle Years is an asset

• Strong understanding of behavioral management techniques

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Commitment to student confidentiality and integrity
