St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a Full Time, Probationary, Educational Assistant 1 (EA1) for a work assignment at École Élémentaire Muriel Martin Elementary School .
More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values.
Hours of Work : 30.0hrs. /week; 6.0 hrs. /day;
Monday-Friday;
Full Time, Probationary
Hourly Rate: $25.14 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement
Specific Needs/Requirements for this position:
French language proficiency is required
Proven experience implementing Positive Behavior Support (PBS) plan strategies
Experience supporting students in achieving ILP and IPP goals
Formal Post-Secondary training is preferred
Candidate must have strong skills in managing students’ behavior
Experience using assistive technology an asset
Preferred candidates would have experience working with Division 1 & 2 students
Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team an asset
Experience working with students with various diverse learning and behavioural needs an asset
Assist students with physical and medical needs (including toileting)
