Become an integral part of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta as a full-time Professor in Mining Engineering, focusing on Geostatistics. This tenure-track position offers a chance to impact interdisciplinary studies in sustainable mining practices.
Located at North Campus, Edmonton, the University of Alberta is looking for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor who specializes in geostatistics and orebody modeling. Selected candidates will contribute to collaborative teams within the Centre for Computational Geostatistics while developing their own research with external funding. Focus on impactful teaching and mentoring at both undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing to educational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design courses and supervise academic research
• Conduct original and high-impact research
• Secure external funding for research initiatives
• Maintain active engagement in university governance
• Assist in public outreach and community education
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in a related engineering discipline prior to start
• Proven teaching excellence and research capabilities
