Position: Parkland School Division Teacher-Facilitator
Location: Stony Plain

Transform education as a Teacher-Facilitator with Parkland School Division, focusing on students with complex needs based at the Centre for Education in Stony Plain, Alberta. Your expertise will foster inclusive learning environments for all.

In this full-time position, you will engage within the Student Services team to provide essential training to educators and develop tailored educational strategies. Your background in special education, along with your ability to implement IEPs, will support teachers in meeting diverse learners' needs. This role also involves utilizing Nonviolent Crisis Intervention to create safe classrooms for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train teachers in inclusive classroom strategies

• Support development of individualized education plans (IEPs)

• Observe and assess student needs appropriately

• Promote Positive Behaviour Supports

• Assist in managing crises with intervention techniques

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in education;
Master’s preferred

• Certification in special education required

• Five years of relevant teaching experience

• Knowledge of crisis intervention practices

• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
