Join Edmonton Catholic Schools as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and play a crucial role in supporting student development. Engage directly with students in an inclusive educational setting.
In this temporary position, you will work 31.5 hours per week, focusing on delivering therapeutic support to students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12. Your efforts will be under the guidance of a Therapeutic Specialist, enhancing the academic experience through tailored strategies and feedback. The role involves working with teachers and therapeutic teams to assess and implement effective learning programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and executing specialized programs
• Provide feedback and document student performance
• Collaborate with parents on educational strategies
• Maintain resources and conduct necessary equipment checks
• Participate in delivering seminars and workshops
Requirements:
• Recognized diploma in Occupational or Physical Therapy
• Three years of pediatric assistance experience
• Certification with the Therapy Assistant Association of Alberta
• Understanding of educational inclusion practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
