Provide crucial educational support as a Speech Language Therapeutic Assistant in inclusive programs for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12. Collaborate with a diverse team including teachers and specialists to enhance student learning.
This position requires effective planning and implementation of tailored programs for individual students and groups. You will develop materials under the guidance of a Therapeutic Specialist and provide essential feedback on student progress. Working closely with families and multidisciplinary teams is key to ensuring the success of programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan educational activities for small and large groups
• Develop specific materials under Therapeutic Specialist guidance
• Monitor and report on student progress
• Collaborate with the classroom team to implement strategies
• Assist with screenings and administrative tasks
Requirements:
• Speech Language Assistant diploma and three years' pediatric experience
• Strong knowledge of child development and communication disorders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
• Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to travel to various sites in Edmonton
