Lead engaging after school programs as a full-time Coordinator with BGC Big Brothers Big Sisters in Edmonton, AB. Focus on delivering impactful experiences for youth aged 6-17.
BGC Big Brothers Big Sisters is seeking a dedicated Coordinator for its after school programming. This role requires ensuring academic support, physical activity, and leadership development for children and teens. Candidates must have a passion for youth engagement and community partnership development while managing daily operations and a small staff team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver after school programming focused on diverse activities
• Manage daily operations of the Club site and partnerships
• Supervise staff and volunteers, ensuring effective programming
• Build relationships with families and community stakeholders
• Collect program data for evaluation and improvement
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in child and youth care or related field
• 2 years supervisory experience, 5 years in youth programming
• Knowledge of child development and community resources
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
• Ability to work flexible hours during weekdays and summer
