Join Unlimited Potential Community Services as an Education Assistant, providing critical support to students in Edmonton and Stony Plain, AB. Play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience for children with special needs.

This full-time term position, lasting until June 30, 2027, involves working closely with teachers to foster a safe and supportive environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for inclusivity and have expertise in behavior management.

Experience with Indigenous cultural understanding is an asset, aligning with our mission to enhance community well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers to implement educational programs

• Ensure a secure environment for therapeutic support

• Engage in effective behavior management practices

• Track and document student behavior and progress

• Foster teamwork and a positive atmosphere

Requirements:

• Diploma or certificate in Education Assistance or Human Services

• Prior experience with special needs children is desirable

• Understanding of health issues affecting youth

• Strong organizational and documentation abilities

• Valid Police Information Check and Drivers License
