Step into a transformative teaching role at Parkland School Division, where you will teach Junior High students at Ecole Meridian Heights School in Stony Plain, Alberta. This full-time position highlights Math, Science, and English engagement while prioritizing student well-being.
We are seeking a passionate educator proficient in teaching Grade 7/8 Math & Science and Grade 6 English Language Arts. You will not only educate but also support students' emotional and social development, working collaboratively with parents and community resources to help every child flourish.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design personalized educational experiences
• Assess student learning using diverse tools
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for support
• Uphold classroom management and behavior strategies
• Facilitate a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Education Certification
• Proven experience in Junior High teaching
• Ability to adapt instruction for various learners
• First Aid and Crisis Intervention training (preferred)
• Exceptional communication and collaborative skills
