Apprenticeship Coach Youth

Position: Apprenticeship Coach for Youth
Empower at-risk youth in Edmonton as an Apprenticeship Coach with Prospect Human Services. Guide young individuals through trade exploration and career transitions while providing personalized support in a full-time role.

This full-time position focuses on assisting youth in Alberta with pursuing careers in the trades. As an Apprenticeship Coach, you will employ a strength-based, trauma-informed approach to help youth overcome barriers.

Your role is critical in connecting young people with training and apprenticeship opportunities, extending support through various engagement platforms, including in-person and virtual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate youth exploration of trade career paths

• Provide extensive 1:1 support to clients

• Foster relationships with training organizations

• Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders

• Promote inclusive experiences for all youth

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field

• Experience in the trades highly desirable

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with pre-employment strategies

• Valid Alberta Driver's License and reliable vehicle
