Make a difference in youth careers with Prospect Human Services as a full-time Apprenticeship Coach in Edmonton. Engage and support young adults on their journey into the trades through personalized coaching and community connection.
In this impactful role, you will guide youth aged 16-24, helping them explore trade occupations and create actionable apprenticeship plans. With a strength-based and trauma-informed approach, you will facilitate connections with training providers and community resources across Alberta. Your commitment will play a crucial part in empowering young people to overcome barriers to employment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist youth in exploring trades and apprenticeship pathways
• Collaborate on personalized action plans for apprenticeship readiness
• Foster relationships with community support providers
• Support registration with education counselors for trade studies
• Provide continuous one-on-one coaching through the apprenticeship preparation
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a relevant program
• Experience working with youth with a trauma-informed approach
• Knowledge of trade occupations and pre-employment strategies
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Valid Alberta Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
