Educator Autism Spectrum

Position: Educator for Autism Spectrum Support
Location: Stony Plain

Help shape young minds as an Educator focused on Autism Spectrum support with Parkland School Division at Ecole Meridian Heights in Stony Plain, Alberta. This part-time role addresses individual learning needs.

In this interim 0.5 teaching role, you will collaborate closely with a specialized team to create and implement educational plans that aid students with complex needs. You will incorporate various instructional approaches to enhance communication and develop essential skills while also managing behavior and social interactions effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute tailored educational plans for students

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary support team

• Use diverse instructional techniques for student engagement

• Implement behavioral strategies for smooth transitions

• Assess student progress and adapt methodologies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education focusing on Special Education

• Valid professional teaching certification in Alberta

• Experience with autism and understanding of specific strategies

• Familiarity with social-emotional learning practices

• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

Deliver compassionate and effective teaching to students with autism at Parkland School Division.
