This full-time temporary position with the Ministry of Public Safety and Emergency Services (PSES) requires a leader in training development. You will coordinate Use of Force Instructors across divisions, ensuring adherence to best practices and operational requirements. The role combines curricula development with mentoring staff to integrate Use of Force concepts with specialized training areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver specialized training programs
• Collaborate with PSES Training Academy management
• Ensure certification standards align with training curricula
• Mentor staff and integrate multiple training areas
• Serve as a subject-matter expert for training integration
Requirements:
• University degree and 4 years related experience
• Completion of law enforcement induction training
• Instructor qualification in control tactics and firearms
• Experience in leadership roles in training initiatives
• Qualified as a master instructor in control tactics
Drive the development of effective training programs within the PSES at the Alberta Training Academy in Edmonton.
