Empower individuals in Goodwill's Edmonton Warehouse Academy as a Career & Skill Development Specialist. This full-time role supports diverse learners in achieving meaningful employment through workshops and coaching.
Goodwill Industries of Alberta seeks a passionate Career Development Specialist to facilitate hands-on employment readiness workshops. You will adapt materials for various learning styles, guide participants in job strategies, and monitor their progress. This position requires engaging with participants and collaborating with Employment Navigators to foster inclusive employment practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate engaging employment workshops for diverse individuals
• Develop curriculum tailored to learning goals and abilities
• Coach job search, interview, and retention skills
• Monitor participant progress with accurate documentation
• Promote inclusive employment and disability awareness
Requirements:
• Two years of post-secondary education in a related field
• Two years of experience in social services or workforce development
• Valid First Aid Certification and Class 5 Driver's Licence
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems
