Become an integral part of Northland School Division as an Elementary Teacher at Bishop Routhier School, effective August 31, 2026.
Your role will focus on grades K-7 and will foster Indigenous culture education.
This position, set in the Peavine Métis Settlement, demands innovative lesson planning and active community engagement. You will deliver feedback to students promptly and promote diversity in learning through personalized approaches. Your leadership will play a key role in advancing literacy and interconnectedness within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement prescribed curriculum for all taught subjects
• Craft and execute engaging daily lesson plans
• Provide timely feedback to students and their families
• Focus on Cree language revitalization through instruction
• Foster school-community engagement initiatives
Requirements:
• Valid Alberta teaching certification and Teaching Quality Standard
• Bachelor of Education (BEd.) degree
• Experience teaching in rural or Indigenous communities
Support and inspire students while building strong community relationships at Bishop Routhier School.
