Wild Rose School Division invites applications for a Part Time Grade 5 Teacher at HW Pickup School, Drayton Valley, Alberta. We're seeking a relational educator who is dedicated to students' unique needs.

Commencing August 24, 2026, this part time (.5 FTE) position focuses on fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in middle school learners. Our ideal candidate is collaborative and enthusiastic, engaging with a dynamic teaching team. We utilize the Collaborative Response framework to guide our teaching practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement lesson plans tailored to grade 5

• Work collaboratively with colleagues for student success

• Assess and support individual student needs

• Facilitate positive learning environments for all students

• Communicate with parents regarding student progress

Requirements:

• Current Alberta teaching certification

• Experience with middle school education preferred

• Effective relational skills with students and staff

• Must pass a recent Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector

• Strong commitment to a collaborative teaching philosophy
