Part-Time French Language Teacher

Empower students at WISE Charter School in Edmonton, Alberta as a Part-Time French Language Teacher. This role focuses on Waldorf principles while passionately delivering French as a Second Language to grades 6-9.

Commencing in August 2026, this 0.25 FTE position spans Monday and Tuesday from 11:40 am to 3:15 pm. Successful candidates need to be fluent in both French and English, demonstrating strong organizational and classroom management skills. This role welcomes creativity in lesson planning, with in-house mentoring available for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students' academic and social progress regularly

• Conduct parent-teacher conferences and share reports

• Collaborate with colleagues on individual educational needs

• Align curriculum with Waldorf Education principles

• Maintain a clean and inviting classroom environment

Requirements:

• Hold an Alberta Teaching Certificate

• Fluent in French and English (reading, writing, speaking)

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Creative lesson planning abilities

• Knowledge of Waldorf pedagogy preferred
