Kindergarten Teacher

Inspire young learners and help shape bright futures. Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a Part-Time Temporary Kindergarten Teacher for a work assignment at Morinville Public School.

MPS offers engaging and specialized programming for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 4. Our dedicated staff works collaboratively to provide an exceptional education in a safe, caring, and inclusive environment, grounded in a child-centred philosophy that emphasizes play and project-based learning.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Kindergarten Teacher
  • Knowledge of early numeracy and literacy development
  • Support literacy development using evidence-informed instructional strategies
  • Provide engaging and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance learning
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Contribute to school initiatives and the broader school community
What You Bring
  • A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
  • Experience teaching primary grades
  • Classroom management that fosters a safe and caring environment
  • Strong skills in using educational technology to support learning
  • Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
