In this probationary role, you will be crucial in promoting a visually impaired student's independence and learning. You’ll work closely with educators to ensure effective adaptations and support for diverse classroom environments. Your contributions will help cultivate necessary social and academic skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transcribe learning materials into Braille

• Facilitate independence in classroom settings

• Support teachers with instructional modifications

• Collaborate with educational specialists

• Employ assistive technologies for teaching

Requirements:

• UEB interpreter training via CNIB is required

• Background in educational support is an asset

• Knowledge of Braille 2000 and technical skills needed

• Familiarity with inclusive communication strategies

• Successful completion of a clear Vulnerable/Criminal Record Check
