The ESL Assistant role at Edmonton Classical Academy focuses on providing specialized support for English language learners. Reporting to the Principal Educator, you will help students achieve grade-level proficiency through tailored lessons and instructional activities. Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify ESL students at the school year’s start

• Collaborate to schedule effective ESL assistance sessions

• Facilitate learning in listening, speaking, reading, and writing

• Create and compile useful ESL learning materials

• Regularly communicate student progress to teachers

Requirements:

• Preferred ESL diploma or certificate

• Previous experience in an educational setting

• Strong organizational capabilities and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative

• Familiarity with technological tools for teaching
