Part-Time French Teacher

Position Overview

Part‑time French teacher/tutor wanted. We teach students how to learn French in a small‑group setting, helping them improve academic and study skills. Our class sizes are 1–3 students. We provide all curriculum; teachers guide students through the material in French.

• Teach up to 3 students in person at different levels.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly, professional manner at all times.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field (students in fourth year of university with tutoring experience considered).
• Experience: Some experience teaching/tutoring French at Grade 9‑12 or equivalent; strong English written and oral communication skills; strong French skills; ability to multitask with up to three students.
• Other: Strong background in spoken and written French and English, comfortable teaching up to Grade 9 level (Grade 12 preferred). Ability to instruct sessions in French.

Location:

Oxford Learning Edmonton Tamarack, 963 Tamarack Way NW, Edmonton, AB. Must be able to commute to location; relocation packages not available. In‑person role. After‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm–8:00 pm) and some Saturdays (10:00 am–3:00 pm). Commitment until end of school year preferred; summer continuation preferred. Must reside in or within a short commute of the Tamarack area. Vulnerable sector screening mandatory.

• Pay: $17 /hour.
