In your role at Ecole Meridian Heights School, you'll work as part of a dedicated team, providing both instructional and personal care support to students with diverse needs. Responsibilities include facilitating learning, assisting with personal care tasks, and monitoring behavioral progress, ensuring students receive comprehensive support. Prior experience with student care, including familiarity with assistive technologies, will enhance your effectiveness in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Program Plans

• Administer personal care and emotional support to students

• Assist in classroom instruction and behavior management

• Support students in accessing technology and learning tools

• Document student progress for educational adjustments

Requirements:

• High School Diploma and Educational Assistant or equivalent certification

• Background in special needs support

• Training in First Aid and crisis intervention techniques

• Strong collaborative and communicative abilities

• Physical capability to assist with lifting and transferring students
