Labour Relations Officer - Education Focus

Contribute to HSAA's mission in Edmonton as a Labour Relations Officer, focusing on educational advancement for union members. Collaborate on impactful training initiatives tailored to adult learning.

In this temporary role, you will lead efforts to develop and improve member education programs. The work will involve conducting assessments to identify educational needs, designing relevant union-related programs, and creating diverse learning materials. Responsibilities also include facilitating workshops and ensuring programs engage our community effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess training needs to identify gaps in skills

• Design engaging and inclusive programs for adult learners

• Revise and improve educational curricula for relevance

• Create materials that accommodate diverse learning styles

• Lead interactive workshops for members and external partners

Requirements:

• At least five years of experience in adult education

• Degree in Education or a related discipline

• Experience in a union environment preferred

• Strong background in adult learning theories

• Excellent skills in facilitation and analytical thinking
