The organization focuses on developing skilled welders through practical, hands‑on instruction aligned with the needs of modern manufacturing, fabrication, construction, and industrial sectors. Programs cover MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Flux Cored (FCAW), and STICK (SMAW) welding, with a strong emphasis on safety, proper welding procedures, machine setup, blueprint reading, and shop best practices.

Students train in professional workshop environments designed to build confidence, technical competence, and job readiness.

The Welding Instructor role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Edmonton, AB campus. The instructor will deliver classroom and shop-based training in core welding processes, demonstrating techniques, overseeing hands‑on practice, ensuring adherence to safety standards and institute policies. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, setting up welding equipment and materials, evaluating student performance, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a clean, organized training environment.

The Welding Instructor will also contribute to program improvement, support student progression toward certifications, and collaborate with colleagues to align training with industry requirements.

• Strong technical proficiency in Welding and Pipe work, with the ability to demonstrate and teach multiple processes safely and effectively.
• Experience in Welding Inspection and FCAW, including the ability to guide learners in quality standards, defect recognition, and proper procedures.
• Background in Curriculum Development, with skills in creating lesson plans, assessments, and training materials that meet industry and regulatory requirements.
• Relevant welding trade certification or journeyperson status; additional instructor training or teaching certification is an asset.
• In‑depth knowledge of welding safety practices, equipment setup, and blueprint reading in industrial and fabrication environments.
• Effective communication, coaching, and classroom management skills, with the ability to support learners of diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
• Prior instructional or mentoring experience in a welding shop, training center, or industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site full time in Edmonton, AB, and to perform the physical tasks associated with welding instruction.
