Join the Edmonton Islamic Academy as a Substitute Teacher specialized in Arabic and Islamic Studies. Contribute positively while delivering lessons and supporting students in a welcoming environment.
EIA is seeking Substitute Teachers to step in for Arabic and Islamic Studies classes when regular educators are absent. This role requires effective communication, collaboration with staff, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere while following school policies. You will guide students through pre-planned lessons and provide necessary academic support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assume teaching responsibilities during teacher absence
• Collaborate effectively with administration and classroom staff
• Deliver prepared lessons and supervise students
• Ensure positive classroom management and a conducive learning environment
• Uphold confidentiality regarding school and student information
Requirements:
• Flexible and adaptable to changes in assignments
• Strong communication skills with administration and students
• Ability to deliver Alberta Education curriculum
• Strong classroom management abilities
• Understanding of Islamic faith and culture
