Gas Plant Operator

An established energy operator is seeking a Gas Plant Operator to support day‑to‑day operations at an NGL fractionation facility.

The ideal candidate will hold a Class 4 Power Engineering certificate with ~5+ years of experience, or a Class 3 certificate with ~4+ years of experience. Direct gas plant experience is not required, but is considered an asset.

• Operate and monitor process equipment within an NGL fractionation environment
• Perform routine field rounds, equipment checks, and operational adjustments
• Execute LOTO procedures, isolations, and equipment de‑energization
• Issue, receive, and manage permit‑to‑work (hot work, confined space, line breaking, etc.)
• Support safe start‑up, shutdown, and emergency procedures
• Maintain accurate logs, shift notes, and operational records
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and escape when required
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and field operations teams
• Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks
• Support training, competency development, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and internal standards

• Class 4 Power Engineer with ~5+ years of experience, OR
• Class 3 Power Engineer with ~4+ years of experience

• Experience in NGL fractionation, gas processing, or hydrocarbon operations is an asset
• Strong understanding of:
• LOTO and isolation procedures
• Process equipment and safety systems
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong safety mindset and operational discipline
