Join De Beers Group as a Production Drill Operator at Gahcho Kué Mine, Northwest Territories. This role focuses on the operation of advanced drilling machines in a safety-first environment.
The successful candidate will work within the Mine Operations Department, reporting directly to the Drill & Blast Supervisor. You will be responsible for operating various drilling machines, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures. This contract position offers a rotational work schedule aimed at fostering a safe mining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate and maintain drill machines
• Read and interpret drill pattern instructions
• Perform daily safety checks on machinery
• Inspect drilled holes and verify depth accuracy
• Report equipment issues according to mining protocols
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years in drilling machine operations
• Experience with rotary and hammer drills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
• Background in remote mining operations
