Guided Wave Testing (GWT) Technician
Apave Canada has been serving the oil and gas, petroleum and petrochemical, chemical, power generation, pipeline and potash industries since 1953.

Our Canadian operations currently provide services from Edmonton, Calgary, Cold Lake, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Lloydminster, Nisku, and Red Deer. Our USA operations provide services from 23 office locations, our United Kingdom operations provide services from 7 office locations, and our Australian operations provide services from 5 locations.

Job Duties

Conducting guided wave testing (GWT) on a variety of piping and pipelines.

Interpreting GWT inspection data and producing high quality reports.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and technical services, to resolve any issues and complete projects.

Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to GWT inspection.

Staying up to date with the latest GWT inspection techniques and technology.

Required Skills and Experience

Guided Ultrasonics Limited (GUL) level 1 certification and a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in NDT inspection.

GUL level 2 certification would be considered an asset.

CGSB Ultrasonic Level 2 would be considered an asset.

Strong knowledge of GWT inspection techniques and methodologies.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Willingness to work in a rapidly changing environment.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will have access to health benefits and may be required to join a union affiliated with the QCCC.

Legal entitlement to work in Canada is mandatory.
