As a pivotal leader within the Environment and Climate Change Department, you will oversee a portfolio of renewable energy projects while enhancing sustainability initiatives. This includes managing solar energy plants and optimizing energy efficiency measures, making a significant impact on emissions reduction. Your strategic oversight will ensure alignment with organizational goals while facilitating community engagement and partnership development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development and execution of renewable energy initiatives
• Oversee 37 micro-generation solar sites across Alberta
• Secure partnerships for large-scale renewable projects
• Manage contractors and evaluate project bids
• Prepare documentation and reports for stakeholders
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
• Minimum five years of experience in renewable energy projects
• Knowledge of Alberta's utilities market
• Relevant certifications are assets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
