Process Operator at Suncor

Become an integral part of Suncor's team as a Process Operator at our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park. This role involves hands-on equipment operation, monitoring processes, and responding to emergencies.

Suncor is looking for dedicated Process Operators to oversee and control processes within our facility. You will utilize your chemical or petroleum engineering technology diploma to ensure smooth operations while performing routine tasks and basic troubleshooting. This position requires robust analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control processes in the assigned unit area

• Respond to emergencies following established procedures

• Perform routine operating tasks and check process levels

• Operate in all process phases, including shutdowns

• Participate in equipment maintenance preparations

Requirements:

• Chemical or Petroleum Engineering diploma or relevant certification

• Mechanical aptitude for equipment operation

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and in various environments
