The Edmonton, AB office is searching for a Junior Civil Engineering Technologist to join its growing team. This role sits within our global business area Places and supports projects that create smart, safe and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive.

• Design and draft civil works drawings for land development projects, including subdivisions, commercial, industrial sites and public sector capital infrastructure projects such as roads, transit, deep utilities and streetscape projects.
• Assist the CAD Team with project plans, section details, schedules, and quantity take‑offs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency.
• Complete tasks assigned by Engineers and resolve or communicate technical issues as they arise.
• Manage coordination of sub‑consultants and municipal approvals.
• Prepare detailed construction drawings and details, providing quality control on drafting, presentations, and design for all drawing packages.

• Diploma in Civil Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting is essential.
• Three or more years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and proficiency in Civil 3D (2020 and up).
• Excellent organizational, computer, and writing skills.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
• Experience drafting and assisting on tender documents, technical specifications, schedule of quantities, and construction cost estimates is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; a positive attitude and a collaborative team spirit are required.
• Registered or ability to become registered with ASET is required.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $75,000. Actual salaries will vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
