Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for operating the equipment safely and efficiently, according to established practices, procedures, and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
• Intervene directly with the shift organization and the business team accountable on any issues that are not in compliance or have the potential of not being in compliance
• Utilize specialized knowledge and skills to independently devise new/modified methods and approaches or develop new/modified processes, to resolve non-routine needs or problems
• Complete regular field checks to monitor plant performance
• Troubleshoot and identify equipment issues of the operating unit
• Complete equipment start-up and shutdown activities
Other Details:
• Location - Fort Saskatchewan/Edmonton
• Day shift and night shifts, 12 hr shifts
• You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
Minimum Requirements:
• 5 years of working experience as a Power Engineer
• Fourth Class Power Engineering ticket
• Ability to interpret Alberta Safety Code Regulation, which includes ASME Codes and others
• Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
