Location: drayton valley
Take on the critical role of Laboratory Technician where you'll assess the safety and quality of natural gas. Engage in essential testing and compliance efforts within a supportive environment.
Reporting to the Brazeau River Complex, this full-time position involves conducting various analyses to support the natural gas production process. You will operate state-of-the-art laboratory instruments and monitor environmental conditions to ensure industry standards are met. Candidates should ideally have a strong background in chemical engineering and extensive experience in the oil and gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct chemical and physical tests on gas samples
• Operate chromatography and spectroscopy devices
• Monitor environmental factors for compliance
• Record and interpret testing results comprehensively
• Support research for improved methodologies
Requirements:
• Preferably a degree in Chemical Engineering
• 5-10 years of experience in the oil and gas field
• Strong analytical skills and effective communication
• Ability to work independently and travel when necessary
• Knowledge of oil and gas regulations beneficial
