The position:  We are actively seeking a full-time Architectural Technologist to join our team in Edmonton, AB.
What will you be doing?
Meeting with clients to discuss design requirements
Gathering the necessary municipal zoning, dimensional information, and other routine calculations for design layouts
Providing clients with suitable design recommendations based on factors such as budget, building and site constraints, sound planning principles and design trends
Using CAD, Revit and Design software as well as manual drawing techniques to produce architectural solutions for management and client approval
Reworking and modifying designs based on comments and reviews from management, clients, and other stakeholders
Providing project management with estimates on cost, time, machinery, construction, and other specifications
Interacting with Architects/Engineers and Designers to exchange ideas and provide support.
Ensuring all vital information and documentation is recorded and maintained
Conducting research and attending workshops/conferences to remain up-to-date with the latest design practices and evolving influences on Architecture
Ensuring that all layouts are compliant with industry codes and legal standards

What you Bring:

Degree or Diploma in Architecture and / or Architectural Technology
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Architectural Designer or Technologist
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD with the ability to produce accurate and detailed drawings
Demonstrated success with various types of Architectural projects, from pre-design through design development, construction documents, tendering, contract administration and post construction project completion
Demonstrated understanding of project management processes involving scope, budget, and schedule
Good customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
High level of creativity, innovative thinking and problem solving skills
