• Assist in project management and coordinate capital and special projects in transportation, bridges, water and wastewater utilities, and storm water.
• Conduct technical research and produce technical reports; provide design support.
• Apply expertise in engineering, public works, and road maintenance & drainage activities, including project administration, contract preparation and management, and budget and asset management.
• Assist with establishing and maintaining aspects of the corporate wide asset inventory of County assets.
• Coordinate or support engineering program activities such as off-site levy infrastructure cost analysis, regulatory road signage reviews, traffic count coordination, and in‑service road safety reviews.
• Demonstrate well developed project management, organizational, technical, and interpersonal skills; work independently or as part of a team.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environment, or another Municipal Services related field (required).
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience, including project management of capital roads, bridges, water, wastewater, storm and related infrastructure projects with design drafting experience.
• Eligibility for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) is required.
• Formal training in Project Management or Construction Management of Municipal Infrastructure design and construction is an asset.
• Strong administrative, written and oral communication skills; well developed project management, organizational, technical and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; some database and AutoCAD experience preferred.

• Ability to primarily work in-person at Parkland County Centre – 53109A HWY 779, Parkland County, AB.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license and current, satisfactory driver’s abstract provided upon hire.
• A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required upon hire (excluding candidates under 18 and current Parkland County employees).
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

A starting salary of $100,500 to $108,700 per year, with a maximum salary potential of $127,200 per year. Benefits include Blue Cross Extended Health and Dental. Work/life balance options include Earned Day Off program, vacation entitlement starting at 3 weeks, birthday leave with pay, and adaptable work arrangements including one remote day per week.
