Join the team at Trans Mountain as an Operator Technician in Edmonton, responsible for pipeline operations and safety excellence. Utilize your technical skills in a dynamic field position with a 12-hour rotating schedule.
As an Operator Technician, you will work closely with the Control Centre Operator and operations team to manage pipeline systems and equipment.
Your role also includes performing product quality analysis, oversight of contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Daily, you will handle inspections, routine maintenance, and data interpretation from operational displays.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate pumps and valves in coordination with the Control Centre
• Conduct product quality and measurement analysis
• Oversee third-party contractors to ensure EHS compliance
• Analyze SCADA and other display systems for operational data
• Conduct inspections and maintain equipment and tanks
Requirements:
• High School Diploma;
Power Engineering preferred
• 3-5 years experience in oil and gas
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required
