The City of Edmonton seeks a passionate Transportation Engineer for its Development Services Branch. In this role, you’ll apply your planning and engineering skills to review complex submissions, ensuring they align with both short-term and long-term transportation objectives. Partner with multidisciplinary teams to create integrated engineering recommendations and facilitate positive relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess impacts of transportation infrastructure on land developments
• Conduct thorough reviews of Transportation Impact Assessments (TIAs)
• Assist Senior Engineer in evaluating engineering priorities
• Document findings in reports for council and public inquiries
• Engage collaboratively with internal and external partners
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
• Four years of related experience in the engineering field
• Current P.Eng registration with APEGA required
• Familiarity with transportation planning practices preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and consultation skills
