As a Geotechnical Technician, you will work with Stantec's dedicated team, participating in field operations, soil testing, and the monitoring of geotechnical parameters. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with Health Safety Environment practices while documenting significant observations. This position allows you to navigate through both field and lab settings, contributing to infrastructure projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct quality control geotechnical monitoring and reporting
• Use expertise in soil testing methodologies
• Collaborate in daily site safety discussions
• Maintain instrument calibration and operation
• Effectively manage documentation and data entry
Requirements:
• Technical Diploma in geotechnical, civil, or related fields
• 3-6 years field testing experience
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License essential
• Knowledge of ASTM testing standards required
• Strong ability to work independently and organize tasks
