Position: Mechanical Engineer for Water Projects
Stantec is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join the Water Building Mechanical Team in Edmonton. This role emphasizes designing reliable HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

As part of a collaborative engineering team, this position requires strong problem-solving skills and a background in water and wastewater infrastructure. With a focus on unique projects, you will design systems that enhance community water resources. Your work will also involve mentoring junior staff and performing site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and review design documents and specifications

• Conduct load calculations and model mechanical systems

• Analyze air and hydronic distribution systems

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems using Revit

• Oversee junior engineers and CAD team members

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)

• At least 7 years of related design experience

• Professional Engineer license in Canada

• Proficiency in load calculation software needed

• Experience with NFPA and plumbing standards
