Mechanical Fuel Technician

Join the City of Edmonton as a Mechanical Fuel Technician, managing a fleet of 5,000 vehicles. This full-time position focuses on the Fuel Management System, ensuring operational excellence in fuel and lubricant distribution.
The City of Edmonton seeks a skilled professional to maintain the Fueling and Operations Technology team. This technical role emphasizes mechanical engineering, requiring expertise in fuel management maintenance, contract and performance management, and analytical tools. You will oversee the performance of various fuel sites and support technical studies on alternative fuels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Fleet Fluids & Lubricants Program and contracts

• Conduct quarterly inventory counts on fluid levels

• Oversee fuel site performance using data metrics

• Support the Fuel Management System and user audits

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety
Requirements:

• Two-year Engineering Technology diploma

• Five years of relevant fuel management experience

• Membership eligibility for ASET as CET

• Skills in contract management and analytics

• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license
