In this position, you will support pipeline operations through process optimization, risk analysis, incident investigation, and technical performance improvements while collaborating closely with operations and leadership teams.
- Salary: Competitive (based on experience)
- Location: Edmonton, AB
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract (6 months with possibility of extension)

- Provide risk management, process optimization, and technical support for midstream pipeline operations.
- Support engineering design, troubleshooting, and operational improvement initiatives across pipeline systems.
- Lead and participate in process optimization and performance enhancement projects.
- Conduct incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Support equipment obsolescence programs and technical lifecycle management initiatives.
- Perform and contribute to Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and CA&FS studies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Support Management of Change (MOC) processes and other OEMS compliance activities.
- Collaborate with midstream leadership and operational teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Contribute to regulatory compliance, operational integrity, and corporate standards alignment.
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering required.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA is mandatory.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong background in pipeline operations and midstream oil & gas environments.
- Experience in process engineering, risk assessment, and operational optimization.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within OEMS frameworks and regulated environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary technical and operational teams.
