Norcada is seeking an Electronics Development Engineer to lead creative projects in Edmonton, Canada. This full time position emphasizes design, development, and quality assurance of electronic systems.
In this role within Norcada’s Embedded Systems Team, you will be responsible for designing sophisticated electronic systems and providing firmware development. Key tasks include project planning, debugging, and collaborating closely with engineers and technologists. With a focus on scientific applications, you’ll help shape products that cater to environmental monitoring and quantum science.
Key Responsibilities- Develop specifications and technical documentation
- Monitor project execution and stakeholder updates
- Test and calibrate R&D instruments systematically
- Establish vendor relationships for customized solutions
- Ensure organized workstations and clean environments
- Electrical or Computer Engineering degree (BSc, MSc, PhD)
- Minimum 3 years in electronic systems design
- Robust programming skills in appropriate languages
- Experience with data acquisition and control systems
- Familiarity with certification standards and practices
