Join WSP as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer with a focus on tailings management, based in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, or Winnipeg. You will be responsible for project oversight from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your leadership will not only foster a robust engineering team but will also shape national projects that reflect cutting‑edge geotechnical practices.
Key Responsibilities- Direct geotechnical design for mines and TSFs
- Conduct site investigations and assessments
- Review and prepare engineering documentation
- Oversee construction activities ensuring compliance
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and client relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering
- Registered as a Qualified Engineer in Canada
- 15–20+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Expertise in tailings and dam safety analysis
- Robust leadership, communication, and project management skills
