Join MKS in Irvine, CA, as a Principal Optical Engineer. Spearhead the design and development of advanced optical systems while collaborating in a multifaceted team.
As part of the Central Engineering organization, you will leverage your extensive background to lead projects from concept through to product launch. This position involves hands-on work, requiring both your design skills and collaboration with suppliers, while ensuring high-quality standards in optical assembly and integration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct the design and validation of optics
• Convert customer requirements into optical specifications
• Perform optical modeling under constraints
• Participate in prototype builds and evaluations
• Facilitate design reviews and technical leadership
Requirements:
• Degree in Optical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 8 years in principal optical roles
• Advanced skills in optical design
• Familiarity with optical software such as Zemax
• Ability to communicate effectively in team settings
