The City of Edmonton is seeking a passionate Environmental Coordinator. This role involves overseeing our environmental management system to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with specialists, lead projects, and support internal teams with valuable environmental advice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the ISO 14001 environmental management system
• Ensure regulatory compliance and provide support for permits
• Investigate and resolve environmental issues effectively
• Develop technical reports from data analysis
• Lead environmental projects from start to finish
Requirements:
• University degree in Environmental Science or Engineering
• 6-8 years of professional experience in environmental management
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification (within the first year)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and GIS
