We are seeking a  Senior Engineer, Municipal Infrastructure  on behalf of our client, a well-established engineering consulting firm with a strong track record delivering municipal infrastructure projects across Alberta, known for their collaborative culture and commitment to professional development.

About the Opportunity
This role is ideal for a professional engineer eager to work on diverse and impactful projects within a supportive and dynamic team environment. You'll take on projects such as the replacement and upgrade of underground water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure; development of water treatment and pumping facilities; wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment facilities; and infrastructure assessments and studies.

What You'll Do

Oversee and manage municipal engineering projects from inception through completion

Perform design, construction site inspections, and contract administration duties

Develop and review engineering design drawings, specifications, and contract documents

Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards

Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success

Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines

Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technologists

What You Bring

B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and membership with APEGA

Minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in construction observation and contract administration

Working knowledge of water and wastewater distribution and collection systems

Proficiency in computer software for modelling and spreadsheet analysis

Demonstrated aptitude for general construction methods

Strong business acumen and understanding of municipal infrastructure projects

Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere

Self-motivated with leadership potential

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
