Civil Project Engineer for Mining Capital Projects

Seek a dynamic role as a Civil Project Engineer with a top gold mining company in Northern Ontario. This hybrid opportunity encompasses hands-on project management and leadership in civil engineering.

As part of the Capital Projects team, this position supports one of Canada’s largest mining operations. Reporting to the Project Engineering Superintendent, you'll lead a team in executing civil projects efficiently while adhering to budgets and timelines. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience managing multidisciplinary projects within mining.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as Civil Lead for capital projects' group

• Mentor a team of 5-6 engineers, including seniors

• Manage project execution and collaborate across teams

• Review and approve engineering documents and plans

• Monitor budget compliance and manage costs

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

• 10-15 years' experience in mining projects

• P.Eng. designation from Canada

• Strong knowledge of mining regulations and codes

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
