Full-Time, Permanent Engineer, Asset Management working outofour Rossdale &EL Smith Water Treatment Plants in Edmonton, AB.
The Engineer, Asset Management is accountable for overseeing the full lifecycle management of plant assets and associated infrastructure, with a primary focus on electrical systems and infrastructure. This includes ensuring the assets are inspected, monitored and tested with proper maintenance plans; repaired and updated in the asset registry; and data is collected and analyzed to determine appropriate life cycle replacement or rehabilitation plans.

What you’d be responsible for As a Engineer, Asset Management, you will contribute to both strategy and execution over a 3–12 month horizon. Your key responsibilities include:
Asset Management Manages asset hierarchy related to Water/Wastewater, Reservoirs and Booster Stations.
Oversee all aspects of Asset Management for assigned assets, including asset registry, consequences of failure, likelihood of failure, risk assessment, levels of service, collecting and assessing data, and developing inspection, maintenance and lifecycle rehabilitation or replacement plans.
Aligns processes with asset management best practices and internal asset management strategy.
Planning Contributes to the development of an Operational Plan, including prioritization of work and developing recommendations related to lifecycle management of vertical assets.
Develop and maintain Asset Management Plans, Asset Roadmaps, and other deliverables in accordance with business plans, internal strategy, and industry recommendations.
Identify necessary budget and resources required for the provision of safe and reliable maintenance, operation, and lifecycle replacement of vertical assets.
Anticipate challenges and obstacles to delivering the annual work plan and develop collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders necessary for effective implementation.
Operational Excellence Utilize data, visualizations, and modelling to recommend capital and operating plans for current and future P periods.
Identify issues impacting operational performance and establish initiatives for continuous improvement to ensure efficient, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of operational plans.
Collaborate with operational teams to collect field data and make recommendations on capital and operating plans to minimize overall risk of asset failure.
Execution Monitor asset health and recommend appropriate intervention (inspection, rehab, or replacement) of EWS vertical assets including Plant Assets and associated infrastructure, including writing business cases and supporting P applications.
Execute annual objectives and priorities in accordance with the overall strategic plan, removing roadblocks and addressing issues to ensure annual targets can be met.
Responsible for data gathering, QA/QC and analysis for specified assets, including risk/reliability assessments, prioritization, failure rates, and spares management.
Talent Collaborate with peers and internal stakeholder groups to develop relationships and contribute to a capable, committed and high-performing team.
Develop a thorough understanding of asset management principles, the functions of Water/Wastewater Treatment, Reservoirs, Booster Stations, and industry knowledge.
Collaboration Collaborate with colleagues to gather information on asset performance and condition resolve issues or concerns.
